7 handy cleaning tricks you didn’t know about yet

4. White vinegar

Water stains caused by minerals in your bathroom or kitchen can be a real eyesore. Luckily, you can easily remove these stains with a bit of white vinegar. Apply a generous amount of vinegar to a microfiber cloth and use this to clean the stained surfaces. Let the vinegar sit for about 15 minutes and then wipe it off again with a clean cloth. The acid in the vinegar will cause the stains to disappear.

5. Sports gear

Do you have smelly sports gear that can’t go in the washing machine, like a cycling helmet? Put it in a big, sealable bag and put the bag in the freezer. Because of the freezing cold, the smell will disappear from the helmet. Got chewing gum on your pants? Put it in the freezer! When the chewing gum is frozen, you can easily remove it.

6. Shoe soles

Are the white soles of your shoes a little less white than when you first got them? You can easily clean them with some micellar water. A lot of people use this water to clean their face with it, but it also works wonders on your shoes.

7. Dark circles in toilets

Many people use a pumice stone to scrub dead skin cells from their skin. But you can also use this stone to clean your toilet! It’s very easy to remove lime scale and dark circles from your toilet with a wet pumice stone. Do make sure that the pumice stone is thoroughly wet because if it isn’t, you might scratch your toilet bowl. If you really want to properly clean the toilet bowl, you can first put 150 grams of baking soda in the bowl and let that sit and soak for a few minutes. Then, clean the bowl with the pumice stone.
