Creamy Potatoes and peas recipe

Ingredients
  • 10 medium red potatoes
  • 2 cups frozen peas
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 3 cups half & half
  • salt & pepper to taste
Instructions
  1. Cube potatoes and boil for 12-15 minutes or until almost fork tender.
  2. Add peas and boil for another 3-5 minutes.
  3. Drain and set aside.
  4. In a medium sized saucepan, melt butter.
  5. Once butter is melted, stir in flour to create a roux.
  6. stir over med heat until the roux turns a golden brown.
  7. Add half & half one cup at at time.
  8. Stir in each cup as the mix thickens.
  9. Bring to a slight boil and then shut off heat.
  10. Stir in potatoes and peas.
  11. Salt and pepper to taste.
